Certain devices can trigger player instinct, which will prompt the player to play in a certain way. By going against this instinct, the player can find new routes.
▲ In this example, the player encounters a bridge which has platforms that collapse at regularly intervals. In most games, falling through a collapsing platform generally produces negative consequences. As a result, the player is instinctively compelled to move forwards and avoid the gaps in the bridge.
Going against this instinct, however, grants access to new a route.
